Jesse Jackson IV is an writer photographer
art director editor curator aesthete.

In his studio practice, Jesse writes, designs, and makes photographs. His deeply interdisciplinary work is primarily concerned with the embodiment of Self and the nature of human consciousness in an age defined by its pursuit of a digital one. Given this line of inquiry, Jesse eschews any and all use of generative intelligence in his work, focusing instead on the profound impact of the human hand in real space.

In addition to his individual artistic practice, Jesse works with brands and publications as an editor-at-large, leveraging his 10+ years of design expertise as well as his deep investment in writing and imagemaking to contribute essays and interviews on subjects as wide-ranging as the joy of allocation, the nature of aestheticism, and the relationship between difficulty and value, for projects as focused as a brand newsletters to projects as expansive as designing and delivering an analog print object like his own publication, Hommage Magazine.

Jesse is also co-founder of Courtesy of, a nomadic curatorial project focused on highlighting emerging and mid-career lens based artists.

Jesse is always in search of a story to tell; if you have one, he would love to hear from you.
